Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship 2027-28 at Oxford University

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme gives outstanding university graduates and professionals from developing and emerging economies the chance to study a fully funded graduate degree at the University of Oxford. Managed by the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust, the programme combines a scholarship with a leadership development programme, long-term mentoring and networking, and since its foundation in 2007 it has supported over 175 scholars from 57 countries. For the 2027-28 academic year, applications are open to applicants who live in an eligible country, a list that includes Pakistan. What the Scholarship Covers The award covers 100% of your Oxford course fees and provides a grant for living costs of at least £21,805. The funding lasts for the full duration of your fee liability on the agreed course. In addition, scholars take part in the Leadership Programme, which includes an annual induction and the Robin Hambro Moral Philosophy Seminar, practical skills training such as presentation, interview and essay writing, a Leadership Forum at the end of the academic year with senior professionals from business, politics and the non-profit sector, and alumni mentoring. Because tuition and living costs are both covered, the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship is listed here as fully funded. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must be applying to start a new full-time graduate course at Oxford from the scholarship's list of 40 eligible master's courses, and must hold an offer for that course. They must be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries on Oxford's official list; residence, not nationality, is the test, so check the list carefully for Pakistan. Applicants should intend to return to their country of ordinary residence, or work regionally or internationally for its benefit, after the course. Current Oxford students are not eligible unless they are already Weidenfeld-Hoffmann scholars, and applicants who hold deferred offers to start in 2027-28 cannot apply. The Trust also has partnership awards with the Oxford Pakistan Programme and Chevening. How to Apply There is no separate application form. Apply for your chosen eligible Oxford graduate course through the University's graduate application form, select the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme in the University of Oxford Scholarships section, and complete the scholarship statement for 2027/28, uploading it together with your graduate application by the course deadline. Prepare your course application, references and statement carefully well before the deadline. Deadlines Oxford graduate courses have individual application deadlines in December 2026 or January 2027, so the date that applies to you depends on your course. The programme information gives 6 January 2027 as the main deadline, and course deadlines are normally set at noon UK time, which is 5:00 PM in Pakistan in winter. Check your course page early, and aim to submit your application, references and scholarship statement several days before the cut-off. Visit the official University of Oxford scholarship page for the eligible course and country lists, and apply early for the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship before your course deadline.
